DVX Slow Motion Test

Yea, good looking footage, even better looking girl. I need to try this sometime. Pretty smooth, but it stutters just a bit. Not really distracting, though, most slo-mo stutters a bit unless you're using a 100,000 dollar varicam.

Hey riler, i was wondering how you got the movie to conversion at 4:3. I thought it only exported at the 16x9 aspect ratio.

Shot it 60i with shutter speed at 120. I used this tutorial (members.shaw.ca/alex.mitchell/slowmotiontutorial.pdf) since I don't have After Effects and it takes a loooong time for compressor to do it's job. Only thing I did different though is after I used Cinema Tools to conform to 24p it still looked interlaced so I tried deinterlace in FCP and it did the trick. This is just a test, that's why it's so short. Also, I'm really bad about remembering to turn the motor on my adapter on. It's getting to be ridiculous.

Awesome Slo mo.

Awesome Slo mo.

Looks really good. I cant get slo mo right on my camera. I have a Canon XL 2. The stock 20x flourite lens isnt the best and its so dam hard to focus I need a 35mm adapter and fast! I was surprised to see Mary Elizabeth Winstead in the footage, shes an awesome up and coming actress. She just rapped on Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World .
