Hey, not sure why, but I am still unable to view your film. I'll keep trying. Took six tries to get the film Four.

And lets just be clear that best sound and best score should be two different things. I've had plenty of films where my sound design was totally off the hook (I wasn't the only one in the crew to think so) only to be completely destroyed by a s****y score. The films were impactful and emotive, it was only when a horrific score was forced in by the funders of the film that the whole film felt cheapened.

Michael, weren't you the guy in the other thread talking about how many fests you've done, lol. There has been a best score prize before, a couple times if I remember correctly.

I've been in 4 Fests, yes. Including this one.

I don't ever remember voting for a score?

Not unless that was a few years back.

Yes, they handed out an award before, but why not have us vote for them?
Otherwise, why don't they just choose the winner of the fest as well?

I'm talking about having a few selections that WE can vote for.

Like... Best Actor, Score, etc...

I believe they have done something like that as well but that was before my time.

I think the bigger concern is getting people to vote for the films.
 
I think adding a best actor/actress award is a really great idea, the actors are such a big part of what makes a winning piece!
 
I'm in for best male nudity...
best ninja....
best wind effect....
most dvxusers in a film...(DVXuser names: Jack Daniel Stanley, Mark Johnson, Dustin R. Rogan, jasonthewho, Gary French, bravajo, Firemonkey)
