dvcprohd 720p60 to dvd

hi, i just created the first DVD i've done since recording with the dvx200. the footage looks fantastic on both an imac and macbook pro. i created mpeg2s from the FCP timeline to compressor using best quality 90 minute 16:9 preset. the dvd looks choppy on certain TVs but great on the imac. any ideas what i'm doing wrong?

Maybe the bitrate is too high for your dvd player. Try a lower one or try on another dvd player.

Detail your workflow.

Length of video in total minutes.

Treatment of audio? Dolby2 or aiff?

Brand of blank media?

Target and maximum video bit rates.

tried with 2pass VBR (don't remember but not a high max bit rate)
and tried with constant BR around 6 or so.
i've done plenty of uncompressed/DV/etc to dvd with great results. this is the first time i've gone from the HVX (or high def for that matter) to DVD. i don't think it's a bit rate problem. it's just doing a lof of weird stuff. for example.

the DVD plays perfectly in DVDSP simulator.

plays perfectly in the Imac that burned it. full image displayed across the screen.

weird zoom on my macbook pro. the edges are cropped like it's zoomed in and playback is jerky (ONLY DURING CAMERA MOVEMENT, NOT DURING STATIC SHOTS).

weird zoom on digital projection TV, doesn't fill up the 16:9 screen, instead its letterboxed (i assumed this was due to the TV, not the DVD but after seeing it play back weird on the macbook pro, who knows? it should have played the same on the macbook pro as it did on the imac).

i was hoping that there was something simple involving 60P that i was overlooking when converting to standard def mpegs or something within DVDSP. is it something to do with HD progressive that's being converted to interlaced and then back again somewhere? when i say jerky movement i mean the way interlaced titles look if that helps....

btw - latest version of everything (minus studio 2 upgrades)
