how many pre-release cameras are there besides the two barry & jarred have???

Ours and all the Panasonic partners like Focus Enhancements. Man, our HVX was the center attraction at our booth today. People were skipping past our SDX900 to play with the HVX  At least 200 people got to play with it.

Here she is with the DVX on the right:

nice seeing you again rush. see you in a couple weeks...eh! ;)

Barry,
Any word on the status/possibility of Sony Vegas supporting the DVCPROHD codec?
I was going to ask Jan, but the few times I was at the Panasonic booth, she was elsewhere. The other folks at the booth had no info on that.
TIA
Ken

Hey folks got some more winners here from the show, this time I went around also and got other stuff. I got permission from all these vendors to post the pics, and also from subjects of the shots. Panny gave the okay to post the booth pics of their cameras and set. All pics are at full res 4MP, so everyone can see details.

Surprised to see PortaBrace already has a rain slicker for it. Is it designed so you can get quick access to the P2 slots? There appears to be some velcro flaps in the general area but it is not clear if that will allow you to get at the P2 cards quickly. Also is it designed so you can attach the Cineporter to the bottom?

Thanks

You're welcome sir! I can't wait to find a better site than webshots, they are slow (but Free, so who's complaining...) :)

Wabbit, I can't remember for the life of me, but I have a feeling they worked that P2 slots access in there, considering how carefully they craft the rainslickers. I don't think they allowed for the cineporter, the velcro straps are snug under the camrera to keep the whole thing compact.

Rush,

Thanks a lot for taking the time to shoot at the show. It was great seeing the various accessories that will be available. I agree with Jarred on the best shot. :)

I don't know -- those were the big three that were listed by Panasonic as fully-compliant partners.

I would expect that perhaps the next version of Liquid will support it; seeing as they already have MXF support and they just got bought by Avid, and Avid has a DVCPRO-HD codec, so... it seems like a natural fit...

Anytime dvxnerd. Evinsky, I just looked at flicker and it looks cool. Can you actually link to the photos so they open in the forum? Webshots doesn't let you do that, you have to provide the address link (so they can assault you with advertising...)

Dang, you're good with them camera things! Man those are some nice pics, and the landscapes are straight out of a published photo book.

I just opened a flickr account, took 5 min. I already uploaded and linked to a pic there, and added it to my post earlier. Thank you for the hookup dude!

rich, you're welcome sir, anytime. :)

Thanks, my gramps was a Life Magazine staffer, so it's in the blood. I also have a BA in advertising photography from Brooks, so that helps. I spend an hour a day at least on flickr. You can just sift through thousands of images and soak in the creativity. I get so many ideas and just want to get out there and shoot something. Look at my favorites, those are other flickr people's images I just love and get inspired by.
