I just looked over my "scoring sheet" and found that my top three films took the top three spots (though I had them in a slightly different order).

Great job guys

CONGRATULATIONS Geoff, Norm and Finnian!!! Awesome job!

Congrats to everyone who said they where going to make a film and participate. Not an easy thing to do!

Thank you to Jarred, Barry S, the mod squad, Larry R and beyond!

Thank you to Varizoom!!!

Awesome fest, everyone!

congrats to all the winners. i had a great time watching all these films.

it's too bad so many people voted for a film without knowing that it was disqualified.

From here on out we'll be prescreening the films and any DQ's will happen before the fest. Only films that meet our (simple) rules will be in the fest, so if you see it, you can vote for it. So, we're asking future filmmakers to please read the rules a couple of times before shooting, so they can confirm that they're following each of them. If anyone has any questions on rules they can post their question in the rules thread or PM me for a clarification. The goal is to qualify and screen 100% of the films, so if you have any doubts about your interpretation of the rules, please let us know *before* you shoot. Don't make us put on our diapers and trenchcoats and drive 950 miles to mace you--ask before you shoot. :)

Barry, that was really funny. and it'll never get old!

I just wanted to echo what a lot of other people were saying about the quality of the films. It's amazing how much growth their has been with these festivals. You can really see people improving their craft and learning from each other.

Good job everyone, and for those who won, hey, can I borrow your equipment?
(hey, I had to ask)

Congrats!

Congrats to the winners. Thanks to the moderators (Barry S.) and the prize givers.

I was wondering if you could tell us how many people voted? A breakdown is not necessary, but it would be nice to see how many participated.

Thank you all so much for voting! We are so excited and appreciative of this awesome community of filmakers! Thank you to the mods for going through the process of getting all of this together. You guys rock!

who would those votes have gone to if they were counted is whats interesting.

Not to take anything away from the winners - I congratulate each of them! - but I don't quite understand how the voting process worked. A lot of people voted for a film that got disqualified, through no fault of their own - does that mean that their votes just got discarded? Does that mean that the winners were then pulled from a sub-set of votes? Something doesn't feel right.
