Here we are again . really didn't think we would make it this time around .
I must thank our 2 actors Rob & Trevor for making this short happen .
Staying until 3am in the cold rain to finish the night shots was more than expected of them . They are the reason we are here!!!!
My brother has a remarkable hidden talent which really came to light in this short .
He also put in long hours to make this happen .

I must thank Sandra for putting up with me during this short .

In case anyone is interested DRACO is Latin for Dragon

Way to chime in last minute! That tree is a bit creepy. That knot on the left side looks like a baby fetus. Or... have I gone completely mad?

*edit.. yup. You just mentioned it was a baby. I'm not mad. *shew*

I sure hope it plays OK ..we ( I ) Had a difficult time getting the night scene to look good
On My LCD monitor it looks good , on the T.V it looked way to dark and yet on another it looked to bright ..UUGGG.

Nero played it back dark , VLC looked good , QT looked washed out .
OOOO the joys of editing..lol

The grab of the tree with the bark baby coming out of it looks super f*ckin' cool, man! I'm looking forward to watching this one.

I had the same lcd vs tv problem. But the I kind of liked the darker tv version better. Go figure.

cinealma....Hey thanks for the comment on the tree ..you can thank my brother for that .That scene is actualy longer as it shows it morphing from the tree into someting bigger ..But due to the time we had it was shortened it up a lot.
Like Edgen said in his post (Lakeside) ..he thought his poster was better than the movie ..

I didn't want to post that clip for the same reason..but hey it is cool !!!!

That was for my film "Brown Waters".. :) (Not "Lakeside") (plus, i meant the quality of the film versus the digital camera still I took of the pond)

ok.. looks everyone else is crazy too for seeing the baby fetus. *shew*

Man did I mess that up ! My appologies Edgen . I guess I miss interpeted your satment . As for the mix up in films ..well eerr I could blame a brain fart ..

Hey bro. I want to publicly thank my brother Ian for allowing me complete creative control on this short and never complaining (and the free beer and letting me use his computer). Even when he knew I was wrong("I can't see him, I can't see him"). Thanks to Trevor, who was given his lines/scenes moments before each shot with no time to prepare, and never complained. (And actually never forgot a line while I had to read my notes.) Thanks to Rob who was always there and never complained, in fact laughed, evertime I yelled "NO!". Sandra for putting up with EVERYTHING and Mikey for location, filling in for the final scene and just being "a good ol' boy". Pulling this off in two weeks to deadline was an experience. Stressfull but rewarding. And ofcourse, Jarrard and this site, and those who chose to take the time to look us up and comment. Thanks. Okay, now get back to work.
 
No vampires. Draco is latin for dragon. Originally the title was called Dracenea Draco. There is info on the web about that. It's is an attempt at a light horror in the twilight-zone vein. We got a chuckle out of it. Hope you do as well. Thankx for stopping in. -gordo

Yes, that is a fetus. And he is alive.
Oh, and I guess I want to mention that I'm just here as a temp member/spectator for the duration of this fest only. Basically to field any questions/daggers about the story/graphics end of things. -So, just having fun. Thanks again -gordo.
