Need to import and edit material in FCP v. 4.1

Does anyone have a downconversion method that will work for my situation? I have tried nesting the uncompressed HD material into a new SD sequence with the following settings:
Aspect Ratio: NTSC DV (3:2)
Pixel Aspect Ratio: Square
Anamorphic 16:9: Yes
Editing Timeline: 23.98
Compressor: Uncompressed 10-bit 4:2:2

I render the material with these settings and then export a QT with Current Settings.

I open the QT file in Quicktime Pro, and the material is squeezed. If I try importing the material into FCP v. 4.1, the distort function will not work to correct the proportions.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Andy

Don't export using QuickTime current settings.

Export QuickTime conversion.

Elect the uncompressed setting, and in the size box choose NTSC DV 16:9 I believe.

Use Compressor. Choose one of the Advanced settings. Save them as a droplet. Drop all your imported footage onto that. Let it go.
