Hey everyone,

A short we did on the 7D featuring some hot boxing, blazing guns, foreign accents, fight choreography, and yes, puppets.

In case you're wondering, the extra group of characters that pop in are cameos from other short films we did.

Curious as to what people think of the color correction?

Wow, I knew I recognized "Ray Carbonel" from somewhere! He did a movie called "Dogs of Chinatown" in North Carolina and I happened to see it.

DUDE THIS WAS SICK!!!!!! I loved it. Loved every second.

I don't know what I'd do with the CC - it does need some help. What are you looking for?

Thanks for the comments guys!

Regarding color correction, well, my buddy's been playing with the bluish-purple skin tone.....and initially it looked interesting, but it doesn't look all that good in this short to me. I mean, it at least removes the yellow/green cast that we typically get when we shoot in this garage but yeah not sure if I'm not the only one thinking that the bluish-purple look is a bit off?

I didn't realize this was posted on here! Cool. Well, Dennis just quickly CC'd it to give it a bluer tone, but he spent probably a few moments finding the "look". It wasn't a huge priority since we just wanted it done and out there. But I LIKE the look. It's one of my favorite things about it. It looks like the first Die Hard to me. Is it perfect? No, but it looks pretty dope to me. But then again, I'm just blown away by these cameras even without CCing.

Thanks for watching, people!

Yeah, Die Hard had blueish-purple tone but it was mostly on the highlights not the whole skin tone. Just took a look at the trailer and the skin tones are still orange/red/brown and the blueish-purple tone is limited to the hilights/specular highlights on people's faces. I think a large part of it is still how you set up the lighting during recording because if there isn't much division in the tones you're pretty limited to what you can do in post. Unless maybe you have something like Apple Color and you can swap out individual colors and tones, etc. (I think).
