Does anyone have a good subscription based music licensing service?

I recently started a videography position at a university, and while it's been going great, a huge frustration is how long the purchasing request process can be, which is especially an issue with wanting to license music for our projects. Right now I've been waiting a month to have a $30 license from audio jungle authorized. I'm wondering, are there any reasonably priced subscription based services that I could pitch to the university, so that I won't have to go through this process every single time I want to pay a couple bucks for a track?

What do you consider reasonably-priced?

Fresh Music, I believe, offers subscription. Pond5 now also offers a membership that allows for 5 or 10 downloads per month, based on membership tier.

Reach out to Kevin McLeod at Incompetech.com. Huge selection quality music, free to use with attribution. I got a very friendly email from him after licensing a few tracks a couple of years ago, I suspect that if you need an annual licensing agreement to ease your work with all the university administrative purchasing paperwork, and could give him an approximate indication of number of tracks he's arrange something

Reasonably priced is usually a couple hundred a year. But what are you producing because there are a bunch of pay one time from Sound Ideas that might work for you. The educational pricing is pretty reasonable as long as you stick to the few restrictions. Basically no commercials, no feature films, no theatrical use. You do get web streaming, on demand web use, etc. We have most of the SoundIdeas library, the General 6000 Sound Effects. Also several Sony production music libraries and sound effects libraries. The Sony stuff is nice because it is generally pay one time, unlimited use (no restrictions), and it is all very high quality.

Also Backtracks/Digital Juice might be an option. Network is probably out, even for educational use they are expensive. And there are a few other online libraries which as I said are normally a few hundred a year.

All that said, pretty much all of these must be mixed with other audio or video, else you are just providing the raw sound and that is of course piracy.

I pretty much go straight to pond5 for music now. I buy maybe 10-15 tracks a month, but haven't checked their subscriptions. I asked one of my clients to check since we have a lot of videos coming up, they did the math and decided to just buy as needed. Very good tracks in the $15 - $40 range, and some nice stuff when you get higher than that too.
