GH2 DMW-DCC8 Dc coupler + Pearstone NP-F975 Lithium-Ion Battery (7.2V, 7600mAh)

Do you have a 7.5V battery around to test it with the DMW-DCC8? I wonder if my GH2 didn't accepted the battery just because it was set to 7.5V. I also tried it out of the box, the battery level marked around 75% if I remember correctly.

I think I'll have to order the tekkeon again.

Should give me around 3.5 times the normal gh2 battery life - put the new battery on a charger and it is saying that it was almost out of juice - I am hoping that the gh2 reported that it cant use the battery only because the battery was low.

I don't have a 7.5v battery but I did try a 7.2v and the gh2 powered but then shutdown reporting that the 7.2v was incompatible.

Cool - the battery I have is $40 - great price if it lasts as long as it should - I will be testing.

No idea - I think I tried a 12v battery and it didn't work.

Still testing my battery - its up to 6 hrs of powering the camera so far - still going strong.

I was asking for the GH2. But thanks anyway. I'm waiting for the DCC8 which is comming from Japan. I'll try it out as soon as I get it and post some feedback here.
If it doesn't work, I'm going to pay some more atention to this thread and follow your experience since I genneraly need a few hours of continuos running from the camera

Seems unlikely there would be a difference, no? Doesn't the GH1 also use 7.2v batteries and a 8.4v coupler? Seems likely that even if the chip and form factor changed between the GH1 and GH2 they could still take the same voltage range.

I would like to report that I was able to power the GH2 using a Tekkeon battery MP3450i via the Panasonics DMW-DCC8. I didn't had to purchase any additional adapters, I used one of the little adapters included with the battery and it connects to the female end tip of the DMW-DCC8 rock solid! so no messing around soldering cables. I'll run a test just to see how much life I get out of that battery. I found NIMH 8.4V 5000mAh Traxxas\Tamiya [INT5007] battery, I'll buy the dcc8 coupler, the adaptor needed and the charger, I think the EZSN001 Sentex Liion/Lipo/Life/NiMh/Pb

Just ordered a GH2 from here. There were only 3 pieces. Because of budget I bought it with the 14-42 mm kit lens, and until Easter I'll buy the pancake 20mm f1.7 lens. I'm still searching for the DMW-DCC8 coupler to use it with the 5000 mAh battery I mentioned above.
