Disconnected - Sneak Peak

Awesome dude, looks epic and great. Can you give a bit more info about it though, I mean what is the catastrophe/disaster that is incoming? Very JJ Abrams-ish I like it. Is this going to be a short or feature or what?

Hey! Well telling you would take away from the story (YOULL HAVE TO WAIT MWW HAHA). This is a longer short. We are attempting to show this to future investors to maybe make this a feature. thanks for watching!
 
ah so you're doing it as a 'proof of concept' sort of short. I get you. What is this on a 7D?

Very nice so far just seems a tad empty without even an inkling of what's going on. Even in the viral Cloverfield campaign and District 9 that appeared long before the films you get quite a bit more of a feel for what it's about and what it is that's happening so that's why my mind feels like it wants to know more.

Well thats what the people in the film are feeling. The unknown is the scariest.

K man I'll have to wait. Dude you must live and breathe film. How do you pump out films so fast? Every other week is a new awesome short from you and they're all quality too
 
This is far, far too long. I didn't even finish it. It's a good concept, but by allowing to go on so long, the amateur nature of the filming and EFX becomes more and more apparent. I think as a "Sneak Peak," either give us some actual content, or give a couple of money shots, get the point across, then get out. Right now, it's kind of neither.

So sorry it wasn't to your liking. But thanks for watching. As far as it being too long i was really going for something different by setting up the scene. Again thanks for watching tho!
 
I mean he has a point in that the first half of the trailer literally looks like a Hollywood film, the next JJ Abrams epic coming out because you use some fx / stock footage, news footage, etc and all that looks really professional and then as it goes further and further in the 2nd half of it, like the people protesting for instance start to look more amateurish but I still didn't really think it was too long. I just agree that as a teaser it probably would look more foreboding and "pro" if you cut out a lot of those parts and keep it tighter

It's not a teaser, it's the intro to the film. Also none of it is stock footage. We went out and got everything, and the earth is made from scratch.

wow then that is quite impressive. you guys truly rock.

by the way. disconnected... final shot seems to have a big cellphone or radio tower, stuff burning ...sort of like deep impact meets the 2012 mayan prophecies is it? hmm let me guess solar flare, EMP, gamma ray burst shut down all electronics in the world ...you can confirm or deny with simple yes or no ..? :love4:

May I ask what you get out of criticizing other peoples work all the time?
Is it purely your need for attention?
 
Again, it's the intro and it was to set up the scene. I did try shorter versions it just didn't create the anxiety i was looking for. Thanks for watching guys!
