I have kind of started a post like this before, but before i buy the HMC150 i want to make sure that i will be satisfied with it before i go and sell my sony FX1. so anyway..what features will i be lacking when i switch over to the HMC150? Is there still shot transition on the panasonic? as far as the no auto mode for audio is it kind of a pain to monitor the audio? especially at loud events. i have also been reading up that the Panasonic is a lot better in low light then the Fx1, is it going to be night and day? is there a lot of grain? because the Fx1 uses the HAD sensors that limit grain. are there any features on the HMC that limit grain? anything else that i have not mentioned would be great!

i'll keep an eye on this post as i'm considering switching the FX1 for HMC150 as well.
I'm a bit disappointed that there's no auto audio on the HMC as I use that all the time.

Look forward to seeing some replies

-tapeless workflow
-FX1 is 1440x1080 -- HMC is 1920x1080
-FX1 has no XLR -- HMC has 2

B&H has a crazy low price for the HMC currently...

B&H has a crazy low price for everything I seem to want! but by the time you add shipping to the UK and import tax its up there with UK prices.

Is it me or is this a touch unfair?

Besides in the case of the hmc150 I'd need the 151/2/4 as they shoot 25/50 not 24/30/60

I believe that feature is called MIC ALC on the Hmc 15X , I could be wrong.

The mic ALC is just a limiter for loud peaks. It's not a full audio auto mode. And it's not so efficient. Not as good as on the DVX100.

The HMC150 is better in low light. It's not night and day, but it's easily noticeable and there is not so much grain.

Still shots transitions? Why you need that? Make your editing on your computer!
