Advice on upgrading my G5 graphics card

Hey all,

So since I updated color on my computer, it now tells me I don't have enough VRAM to use the program. Dunno why I was able to fool around with it prior.

Regardless anyone have a good recommendation for a graphics card for my machine to color correct 1080 HD...as well as a general price range.

I've spent alot of money on a feature I've been in production on. We're going to have our picture done by a colorist later on, but I'd like to be able to send some examples. My budget is tight, so I don't necessarily need something top end.

Its PCI-X, right? So probably go for an X800T (if you can find one). Its probably the best G5 graphic card out there.

Im not sure...I know little to nothing about computers except that old ones make a wonderful sound when being thrown out of high windows.

Im using an older G5 which I bought in 2005..the graphics card is: Chipset Model: GeForce FX 5200
Type: Display
Bus: AGP
Slot: SLOT-1
VRAM (Total): 64 MB
Vendor: NVIDIA (0x10de)
Device ID: 0x0321
Revision ID: 0x00b1
ROM Revision: 2060
Displays:

Model Name: Power Mac G5
Model Identifier: PowerMac7,3
Processor Name: PowerPC G5 (3.0)
Processor Speed: 2 GHz
Number Of CPUs: 2
L2 Cache (per CPU): 512 KB
Memory: 3.5 GB
Bus Speed: 1 GHz
Boot ROM Version: 5.1.8f7

Any more help would be appreciated.

If you go to e-bay you search for a seller called "applemacanix" ( I hope I spelled right). They specialize in selling upgrades for apple computers at affordable prices. They specify the functionality of each card and advantages.

Your Mac is PCI-X (AGP). Make sure you look for PCI-X AGP cards, and not PCI-E cards.

EDIT- Here's an example of a great AGP card:
