Delivery to broadcaster etc.

Hypothetically, when a project is completed (posted on FCP), what format will :
a. the broadcaster and/or the distributer want the film in
b. the festival circuit play it on
c. mass DVD duplication copy it from ?

I know this is a loaded question, but broad strokes will do...

most stations in WI still require Beta SP. Some take DVCAM or mini dv, but we still output Beta for broadcast here in Milwaukee. It would be great if we could just give them a data disc.
 
The above is prety true to SD stations. Though DigiBETA is also very much the norm in many places.

HD Stations generally require DVCPRO-HD or HDCAM.

Yes, and they can use it to convert to Beta SP.

Festivals will sometimes screen from a DVD. If not, they'll let you know their requirements.

You can also do mass distribution of a DVD off the master DVD.
