Delivering in Quicktime High Resolution

I was asked to shoot two 30 second clips in HD and deliver in QuickTime High resolution files. I shoot with an HVX200 and normally do all of my own editing on a PC so no conversions are necessary. When hired out as a shooter only I have delivered MXF files and let them convert to whatever they needed. This client wants it delivered in Quicktime on a portable hard drive.

I tried a search but I need to submit a bid asap. Can I use Premiere (CS4) to convert the MXF files to Quicktime with no quality loss? If not what should I use to convert? About how long is the conversion process? If I missed any pertinent data let me know.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Without knowing what codec "QuickTime High resolution" means, it's had to provide a suggestion.

Ask the client to define which codec, frame rate, and frame size. Then come back here. HD can be so many different codecs. Everything from HDV to Pro Res to RED to DVCProHD to h.264.

Part of the problem is that the client didn't know for sure exactly what they wanted besides they operate on a mac based system and figured a high resolution quicktime is what they needed. The shoot came together last minute and they are scrambling so no one was available to get specific. Since I have zero experience on a mac or with Final Cut I have no idea what the best delivery format is. I did speak with someone in my area that uses Final Cut and he said that his system converts the MXF file for him when it is ingested using log and capture. He shoots to P2 so he said delivering MXF would suit him just fine.

It is of no consequence now for this particular job but I would like to know for future reference. So lets assume these parameters.
- Shooting 1080/ 24PA DVCProHD to P2 cards (MXF).
- Clips are roughly 1 minute bursts, as many as it takes to get the 2 different scripts done properly.
- All footage will be delivered on an external hard drive.

If you were editing on a mac based system using Final Cut and were due to receive the above footage would you prefer the files straight off of the P2 Card or would you want them converted to something else? If converting is the way to go, what is the preferred codec(s)?

Sorry not being as specific as I'd like but this new territory for me.

Thanks again.
