I still have not got my plot laid out, so I guess I am not giong to make one this time. Being a judge should be fun though.

How is everyone else doing? Anyone thru production yet? Anyone not started writing yet that still thinks they can get it done in time?

Finished writing the script. Everyone who has seen the script has loved it.

Finished casting.

Secured all locations, but one for a one shot flashback scene.

Scheduled a table reading for second week in December.

Shooting scheduled for last week in December. Any pick-ups (Hope we don't need them) will be shot in the first week of January.

I will be cutting and CC'ing the film during a vacation to Florida, it should be cut and CC'd by the time I get back, the second week of January.

This will give my composer two weeks to score it, and finalize any last minute things.

This is my plan. Of course, it'll most likely change, but you gotta start somewhere!

Still beating on a script. Need to finish by the end of the week or I might not make this one.

My script has been written since three days after it was announced. It has been in my actors hands since four days after it was announced. My locations have been secured since six days after it was announced.

I haven't done much since then. Trying to shoot a couple of scenes in two weeks and then the rest in January...

I hate actors... Thinking about using GI Joes.

Nice, Yankee! At least you have given your actors ample time to review the script, and know the characters.

Written the script

Made a sweeet storyboard in MS Paint....I kno Barry Green will be proud of me!

I have some locations in mind....not totally sure yet.

Lights.....still have to go to Home Depot and buy some of those Halogens and go to Rosco and buy gels.

Does anyone know if I could some how hook up a halogen lamp to a car?...maybe thru the cigerette thing with a transformer? because those things need like massive amounts of electricity. Because one scene i kno for sure is filmed in the woods...and there is noo outlets or anything in the woods.

besides all that mumbo jumbo..im ready!

I'm behind, looking at an early january shoot, if at all. Things are piling up right now, and even though I really like the script, I might just have to settle for something else (maybe an older script that's easier to shoot).

But, I agree with the signature of someone I read on the board. You can make movies or you can make excuses.

Script is done, most of the locations are secured, I only have to cast one more actor. I've also got the boards about half way done (doubling as a school assignment, or I wouldn't have done ones this nice). Started gathering sound elements, and we're looking to shoot over Christmas break.

Finally got the script from my writer tonight. The setting is as I wanted. But the story . . . while good--it's just not my style. Back to SQUARE ONE.

We nailed down a tight schedule, working on the budget, auditions on the 11th, securing crew, starting the effects tests today, shooting the first 2 weekends in jan.

Secured Alien CGI model, Finishing up first visual effects shot today. Secured all actors. Planning for late Decemeber shoot.

Locked our locations, secured actors, started storyboarding/shotlisting... Shoot date is in early January--one day of shooting total.

The script situation is looking up. For some reason this is always the hardest part for me... maybe I'm just a freak and perfectionist or something.

But the story . . . while good--it's just not my style.

I know what you mean! That's what's kept me from having someone else write the script. I finally decided (well, a while ago) to bag the writer idea and do it myself.

Wrote the script, storyboarded it out. Havent done much after that. Going to start looking for actors at end of December, and look to shoot at start of January. I hope I can get something done before the deadline. Right in the middle of moving and getting married and its taking up too much time. :(
