I feel so great. It seems like every film thread I go into, I become the topic of conversation. Oh, and I know that seemed creepy, which is why I edited it: to let you all know I knew it was creepy AFTER I wrote it.

Nate C (the FM rotoninja) just arrived from out of town last night for the weekend so that we can shoot the Zombie Walk that takes place tonight. He will also be lending a helping hand to Alex Jeffery's independent study project. It's great to have him in town again, as it's been quite awhile since I've hung with him.

We're still on for next weekend. -- Even more changes to the script are being made as go along. Wow, what a process!

Can't wait to see some footage Kyle.
We had good time yesterday. We shot footage of the band MIGGS, who performed at halftime for the WNBA finals at Staples Center. Today we're meeting the band and its management in Malibu to work out details for the music video that we've been planning to shoot for them for some time. Last night we attended a really great party up in the Hollywood Hills. Not enough light to get any decent pictures, unfortunately.

Hmmm... I need to start having meetings in Malibu... Meetings in Oklahoma tend to be in small dark rooms with squeaky chairs and a projector that makes all footage look like ****. So is Brad doing a little post work on the war stuff?

Nate was out on the prowl last night filming the zombie walk. It was really dark, but I was really excited to receive the sound of screams and moans. There are moments that will work GREAT for our news segments. Let me see if I can't grab some stills real fast before I'm off to do some homework.

Alright here are some grabs from the Zombie Walk that Nate filmed.
The footage is PERFECT for what I had in mind. I watched it this morning on my projector screen and it started to get me REALLY excited for this project.
Now I can't WAIT to start filming.
I highly encourage EVERYONE make at least ONE zombie movie in their life. There truly is nothing quite like it.
Grabs:
The grabs are a bit grainy, but it was deemed forgiveable as these shots will be used for news segments in store windows.
The footage is PERFECT for what I had in mind. I watched it this morning on my projector screen and it started to get me REALLY excited for this project.

Awesome Kyle - still can't believe your luck in getting a zombie walk like this to just happen at the right time. Very cool. The grabs look perfect for news story b-roll. Looks like fun too. I want to go on a zombie walk. Working on my first zombie short (actually my first short) right now. Way in the early stages, but yeah zombies are definitely cool to have in the mix.
Haha. Zombie Walks are awesome. I once hosted a small one in my town. We just went up and down main st with a group of about 10 zombies. Lots of people didn't show up, but we still managed to have some fun. We even had 1 or 2 "plants"- people that would be in the "living" onlookers who we would attack, maul, eat...etc. It was great!

Haha, that is pretty sweet man. Though I must brag a little...
Lincoln's zombie walk had a turnout of 361 zombies and if you wanted to be a victim you were to stand in the path of the zombies and wear a giant duct tape "X" on your shirt. They would pull you down and rip your clothes and get you all bloody. After you were attacked you were to rise and join the swarm as one of the undead.
Quite awesome.
