I'm in a bit of a jam. I am working with a small production team and we recently shot some footage on the C300. We managed to format the card before backing it up and begin filming on it. We have a data recovery software that has supposedly recovered all files we need (55 .MXF files in total). So with the 55 .MXF files, I am able to open all of them in VLC player and every clip works great.
Here's where I am lost. I can't import any of the .MXF files into Premiere CS6. When I attempt to convert the .MXF files into another format, VLC player will convert five of the files into a .TS format but the remaining 50 files will simply crash VLC. Even the five files that do convert successfully to the .TS format are poor quality.
I have attempted to use other converters such as Adobe Media Encoder and a downloaded tool (PavTube Converter). My best result is from PavTube Converter, however, I am running into the same problem as VLC. It will only convert the same five files into a ProRes format and it looks great. The remaining 50 files will not convert.
As stated earlier, VLC player version 1.1.12 plays all of the .MXF files perfectly. I updated one of my two computers to VLC version 2.0.5 to see if that might help with the export, however now the the player won't play the files at all on the newer version.
Let me know if I can clarify anything and I would appreciate any and all help!
