Sure:in the dark stuff, you'd get low bitrates but in the wide and detailed stuff you'd get higher than 17 for sure. Something didn't take.
Can you list your exact procedure?
Ok, will do. Thanks.hmm that looks correct. I'm not sure what is going on then.
I would take a "before" video and then apply only the bitrate settings and take an "after" video to see if it looks different.
I haven't done very scientific tests on this, but have done the tree leaves blowing in the wind while panning one... still around 17mb/s. I think there's something that's not being set right on our patches. If anyone can see what it is, or if there is a definitive test that would result in a higher data rate reading (if the patch was installed properly), please speak now!I'm guessing there isn't enough detail in the picture. I've tried lots of high and low settings, and in low light darker situations its always under 20mb/s I can shoot a dark scene, iso 400 and get 15mb/s and then bump up the iso to 800 and get 25mb/s + . It would be awesome to have a constant 35mb/s in lower light situtations and of course any situation, but I don't think the codec would allow it even with the highest possible setting.
I just tested with with pretty insane results. The same shots without a GOP change 50 52 60 i was getting around 15mb/s I changed the GOP ( 1080p ) to 4 with 50 52 60 and im getting around 25-30 mb/s I'll see if I can post some footage tomorrow. It might crash my card with really high detailed scenes but I'll verify that tomorrow when the sun comes out![]()
A ha. Streameye is $1795.00 (one can download a free 30 day copy, which I'm doing now), is there any other program that reliably reads the data rate? Final Cut Pro does not?the video file does have a "declared bitrate" of 17mbits in its metadata. When I use streameye its says declared bitrate 17mbits and actual max bitrate 30Mbits. I suggest you get readings from another program.
