D400 just a rumor

hehe yeah. Well in June we'll have the GH1 and D400 to decide between. And nobody will be buying canon bar a few 20p freaks.

some wankers on the nikonrumors forum still think the D5000 pics are fakes. So I posted the swedish link. The earth is flat and it's getting much colder and wetter too!
 
An input could be hidden on the side. The in-camera mic onthe D90 is 3 small holes in a circular fashion. This holes on the D5000 are lined up and seem to be bigger.
 
When the screen is flipped down why is the Nikon name upside down? Why would you do that? That is they way you would see it too. Upside down makes no sense. Could be a fake

Thats the new shooting style! You would have to turn your head upside down to shoot!
I am sure the screen flips when you put it in that position.
 
Well, worst it could be is a cheaper D90 with some B&W, Cartoon, etc. scene modes. Not too bad, especially after the D90 film I just completed. If they at least fixed the overheating problem, I might just have to sell off my two D90's for one of these just for convenience sake, if not, then I'm happy with what I have. Although, I must admit, working with two D90's is probably more film-like than I had originally thought, especially when I have to shout "Camera change!". It's almost akin to changing mags.

But in all seriousness, I hope that this isn't all they'll announce. At least tell us there will be a D400 or D800 coming soon, they don't have to show a model or anything but at least say that it's coming.

Also on NikonRumors was the 10-24mm DX lens. I'm not too worried though, I'm happy with the Tokina 11-16. It's just that it's weird that these developments happened the week right after my shoot. They couldn't have happened a week or two ago since I assume they'll be releasing these things very soon if not by the end of the week?

Because you would be able to turn it around, and have it be in a position as a regular LCD DSLR screen. And in that case, it would not be upside down.

There's a D400 but it's not due until June. The D5000 is due in stores in May. So I expect they will announce the D400 in May before the GH1 hits the streets.

I wouldn't get too excited about the D5000, it's just a cheapie. But it will be interesting to see if Nikon have made any tweaks to d-movie like mjpeg quality, stair step, jello, sensor overheating, and manual shutter. I noticed there's no dedicated external white balance controls like the D90 has.
 
If they go by their two year product cycle for d200/d300 the d400 should be out around summer or late summer. That is barring, any decisions by nikon to delay the release due to economic conditions.
 
i'd rather put faith in santa claus than the **** they post on nikon rumors. i just got an anonymous email from someone who works at nikon and said that there's actually going to be a nikon d5k00311z FF that's going to have everything we ever dreamed in a week...can't tell you who said it, but it's definitely real.

We know this because there is a D400 book coming out in July and dealers have dropped prices on the D300 to clear existing stock and have been told something is coming. I always know when a new mac is coming out when I get offered a deal......follow the money trail, that's what they taught us at the bureau.
