For those interested in the breaking RED news from IBC, remember to use one of the free online time zone calculators to match your time with Amsterdam time - do a Google search to find a calculator. For those in the USA & Canada, Amsterdam is 9 hours ahead of West Coast time, 8 hours ahead of Rocky Mountain time, 7 hours ahead of Central time, and 6 hours ahead of East Coast time. The calculators I found via a Google search allowed you to quickly match your time, no matter where in the world you live, with anywhere else in the world. Other threads on this forum list the IBC starting date/time and the first RED 4k screening date/time.

I don't know of any official word from RED as to exactly when the RED web site will be updated with their new info, but using a time/date calculator to match your own time with the opening time of IBC would be a good guess. I'm sure a lot of info will find its way to this forum quickly...

I don't know if I'm going to sleep tonight... on top of that I'm going to be away from my computer all day tomorrow... wonder if I can look at 4K footage on a blackberry :)
 
There has already been a test screening of the Red footage on the 4k projector at IBC to make sure everything would be OK for tomorrow. The whole Red team, minus Mike Curtis who had to go back to the hotel for his badge, was pumped up into the stratosphere after seeing how good it looked on the giant screen.

9 hours ahead for west coast..that means its almost 8am over there right now...i wonder if Jim could even sleep given the magnitude of what they are about to unveil to the world.
 
another thought.. thank goodness that we are AHEAD in time.. i can TRY to sleep tonight and wake up smack in the same time frame that RED footage will be shown at IBC, not to mention a RED website update.

I heard that good things will happen if put your RED titanium R under your pillow when you sleep tonight.

If you wake up in the morning and find a dollar then its time to go hunt down the tooth fairy. Not to worry though... there's actually a GPS unit inside the R - it maintains a constant uplink with a geostationary satellite and can be remotely detonated if stolen.

I just washed my dvxuser RED t-shirt and its all pressed and ready to go for tomorrow... If I can't be there to see the unveiling I'll just support the cause in the SF Bay area.
