contax zeiss?

cool will do thanks. Although I"m really considering a 35mm now. Which one would you take the cy 35mm 1.4 or then new 35 f/2.0?

If you can get a deal on the 35/1.4, then I would seriously consider it (as well as a 35/2.8). I don't have a 35 prime, per se. I use a 35-70/3.4. ... not really as a zoom .... but as a series of primes in those focal lengths (it is also a macro lens!). It is a great lens, if you can find one.

got the contax 85mm today.. all I gotta say is.. I'm gonna get the 35 and the 50 contax.. haha.

It's like the dream budget(relative)cinema lens. Correct focus direction, fully exposed focus marks, long throw, the barrel hard stops, manual aperture, fast apertures, solid construction.. and I mean freaken solid. Blows away the canon FD L's I had by a mile..
