GH5 Constant aperture parfocal zooms for GH5

The GH5 is the camera that I have been waiting years for but now I have the problem of finding a lens for it. I would like a constant aperture parfocal zoom that can be used for both video and stills. I keep hearing rumours that there are 'software assisted' parfocal lenses but a few rather unscientific tests seem to suggest that this is fantasy. Does anybody have any suggestions please?

As long as you don't mind working manually there are a number of constant aperture fully 100 % parfocal zoom lenses available. Fujinon and Tokina to name two companies that have current model lenses that could be used adapted or otherwise with the GH5. With a PL to M4/3 adapter there are many other candidates old and new from cheap to expensive that could fit the bill. A lot of the earlier FF glass like the Canon FD, Minolta MC/MD and the original Nikon zooms were parfocal. All of these could be used with dumb or 'speed boosted' adapters. In the case of the speed boosted lenses you get close to the FF field of view plus another stop in light gathering speed.

Not cheap but the current Fujinon MK series 18-55 and 50-135 zooms can now have M4/3 mounts on them supplied by the likes of MTF Adapters.

I feel, no practical experience with them on M4/3, that these lenses on a GH5 would perform beautifully. Some with the experience of this GH5 / Fujinon combo may be able to chip in with actual experiences with these lenses.
