I'd love to hear what people think. Technical notes: Because it's 17 minutes long, I converted it to a wmv for the sake of faster loading. Was shot on an original DVX100 with a DIY 35mm adapter, with that will come a couple technical shortcomings (I wish I'd had my current rig, ah well), but nevertheless I hope it's enjoyable and engaging. Have fun. Thanks.

Besides the fact that I'm a 35mm film head, and can see the flaws in your DIY 35. I thought the film was really good and keep my attention most of the time! The CA is really distracting, at least for me it is.

Anyway I loved the story, the ending, and the drivers introduction !!!

I'd highly recommend using an achromat and try setting the flange again. :) Sorry I couldn't resist.

Awesome job !!

No worries. It was shot in December of '07, since then I've obtained an Letus Extreme and couldn't be happier. Aside from that, glad you enjoyed. :)

Was that from one camera? All of the shots fit perfectly while they were in the car talking. The actors were pretty good too. That's the real problem with all my movies, the actors can't be taken seriously! XD

I didn't get a chance to watch the whole thing yet because I have an interview to go to. :) But I will watch when I get back.

Sadly, yes, lol. We had a total of 8 different shots, each time having to stop (after we felt good about a couple decent takes), get out, rearrange everything, and do it all again. An entire day (from about 8am to 3pm) was spent just shooting their conversation/s in the car. The biggest helper was that we'd rehearsed it for about 3 weeks, so it was very precise.

Please do, let me know what you think of the rest.

I guess i had a hard time following the story, i think i understand the fundimentals you were getting across, with the no-name bits, but i guess i cant wrap my head around the wife accepting a whole new person as her former husband.

If i think i followed correctly, it's just that black dude's personality inside the buisnessman's body and vise versa... if thats the case i think it could have been shown better, ex: have like the buisnessman come home to his wife and have his personality totally different, and maybe flash the black mans image over the top of him briefly as like a ghostly exchange for a second,... or something.

other than that i think overall the story was very awesome, Very nice acting kept me watching.

Tech aspects, not too bad for a DIY adapter Epic! the shakey cam at points was a bit much for only a few scenes... like some car scenes i would have stabalized the image, sense you convereted to WMA resolution loss wouldt be a large factor.

overall i'd give it a 4/5 not bad at all.

okay, i liked it, you went for a real deep theme here, and story wise i think it is soo close to excellent... something is a bit off and i cant put my finger on what i might change to make everything fit right. regardless i liked it.

the shaking in the car was annoying but i liked that you kept changing point of views.

the acting was good. the original no name guy was great, especially in the car, he could've showed a bit more in the house... the first john was more than solid enough.

nice work!

good film, I liked Johns acting, good stuff, you need to get your self an Sgpro brother.

Jon

Well, this whole thing was done with a DIY, but now I have the Letus Extreme and am very happy with it, lol. Anyway thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it.
