Collaboration on with 7d Houston

I live in Pearland. I would definitely be willing to help out with whatever you guys might need. My kit is a little slim at the moment (just my B cam gear as my cousin/business partner is in Austin for 3 months shooting with our primary rig), but I've got a 7D, a bunch of batteries, and 2 32GB CF cards.

Really would like to get to know more indie filmmakers here in the Houston area.

So you're near Rodeo Palms I guess? Yeah, I've lived in Pearland my whole life (I mean, when I was born, the population was about 10,000!) I live near the crossing of Bailey and Veterans (Where Pearland Jr. High West is). I don't have any of my paid work up, just some goofy stuff I did with family.

You can see some stuff on my vimeo page, but most of it is old stuff on my D90 before i had any gear.

Im working on DP'ing a larger short with a crew and stuff now, but id be down to help others do stuff.

If anyone has a script that needs tweaking ive also been writing for a long time while as well.

how did the storyboarding go for your chapter 4 yesterday? I'm also going to be meeting with my team tomorrow to go over the script for our short..and start penciling down storyboards.

We should ask the Moderators to include a Subsection for Locals.... we could Coordinate shoots and Even Hire eachother out for projects ,, heck this would be a Great way to Find work since Austin is Movie Capital for Texas/.... If all goes Well For Me over the Next Few Months Im Planning On building My own Studios with Several Soundstages and Facades

actually our short is not for Canon's BTS, it's just a short promo we're going to do as a first shoot. I wanted to see what everyone on the team's capable on to gauge what kind of project we should tackle in the future...sorta like a mock run.

I agree, we should all meet up one day somewhere and toss around ideas, experiences, and even collaborate.

I am free anytime after 5:30's.
 
I did a web add in jan for a hospital in the med center but its still waiting on approvals before it gets released

And unfortunately all the stuff on my channel is back from when i had my D90 and just a $12 tripod and was still learning.

I have since upgraded to 7D, added some glass, glidecam, slider, shoulder rig, h4n, rode mic etc...

I have been shooting several local auditions (so the directors can view them after), and ill try to get permission from them to put them on vimeo.

Ive also been writing for a good while (a lot longer than ive been doing film), so id be happy to collaborate on some stories as well.
 
oh, it's the Spring and North Houston Film Meetup Group. We produce a film a month. Getting tons of experience and we could use some more writers and cameramen.
 
Can't make it tonight. Have prior engagements.

Lets just set up a specific day for the ones that are interested in this idea to meet up. We've been saying lets meet up lets meet up, but we're not setting a firm date.

How about this Wednesday at 7PM, Starbucks on Westheimer and S. Post Oak?
