"Classified" - Elton & Charli Production

Damn sorry to hear about that guys. Glad you are at least uploading something for exhibition. Still looking forward to seeing it, and the full version in the User Films section when you're all done. Good luck!

The final version will have a slightly different ending. ;-)

I ripped off the masters: Ed Wood and David Lynch

I've seen the director's cut and it's really getting there. I think you all will be pleasantly surprised how a one-man-film crew was able to pull it off.

I think I can relate to that. :D

I've used stationary objects to tie mic's to. Ladders and duct-tape can work wonders. I get where you're coming from. :)

Fresh memories for me. It's all good, I'm happy with what I was able to put on the screen. That said, there does come a point where you feel a little foolish for trying to do it all alone, though.

Filmmaking is a little quixotic endeavor where you need at least a small army to help you fight those windmills. Or at least someone to ride along with you and bang on a couple of coconuts.

She does that via Skype. Maybe that will be a great app for mobile devices.

Hmmm, off to make millions. Later!

I like coconuts. Coconut milk. Coconut candy bars.

One day I'll be on set of an actual shoot. Closest I've come is television shoots like "Private Practice" and "Terminator Series" when I lived in Santa Monica.

I have fond memories of holding a light while boom op-ing, pressing record and saying ACTION.

Hah! thats me right now! although, my 9 yr old daughter, (my world of course :), is starting to become a HUGE help. And her interest level is rising fast too. She's even taken to writing stories and even working on a script right now too.

I am just have a first look for this fest through the threads. You have amazing costumes and props (cars!). I like especially his hut and the material and colour of her dress. Very nice to see on one grab, how you fixed the headscarf on the backside of her head - what a beautiful detail. Much luck!

Suz - Our actress made that scraf. I think she did her own hair and make-up as well as placement of the scarf. We sent her some "Mad Men" grabs for her to study. She did a great job. Elton bought the woman's costume and hat/glasses for the shoot at a vintage shop. He had also paid for a suit for the lead actor he fired, sucked. New actor had his own suit. Everyone in production is pleased with the "look" of the era.
