It looks like some of the wide shots were done with a slow shutter?

And I don't know how you manage to get what appear to be candid shots with what appears to be a gun and run kind of shoot.

what is causing all the reflections of the lights in the lens?
do you have a UV filter on there or is it just the kit lens?

No, it is actually a UV filter on the Canon FD 50mm f1.4 lens, which I forgot to remove in some of the shots. E.g. the taxi shots in the beginning are without UV filter.

Yes, the wide shots are slow shutter (because of the slow f4 kit lens) in fully manual 720p60 AVCHD. Next time I'll do timelapse with photos, as the resolution is not very good with slow shutter.
