Christmas Wish List

Charli

cool little "title"
If you have a wish, you never know, someone kind might just grant your wish. Someone here got something cool last year, so who knows, it could be you.

My Christmas wish is to get a computer. One that works. No blue screen. No black screen. Doesn't shut off on me. I make extra money writing articles and I don't have a single reliable computer to work on. Desktop, laptop, netbook... hoping someone who's prospering out in the world will pass this on to someone who can let go a puter collecting dust that could use a loving home. Make a Christmas wish come true. That's my Christmas wish. And yes, regardless, I'll still believe in miracles.

What's your Chrstmas wish?

obviously my Christmas wish is a shinny new AF101 on my desk.....but as that is highly improbable.... I will settle for a lighting for film and television DVD, it will help me make better pictures....

35mm adapter for my HPX170. I figure when the AF100 drops the price for them will bottom out, so if anyone just wants to donate theirs to a guy who would love to have one feel free to send it my way!

And world peace.

My two front teeth?

Nah really, after getting 44 and having new little aches and pains and ailments every day,
being healthy becomes a bigger issue. I started to realize that without health everything is nothing.

So health it is.

Jeeez Charli, I´m just updating my renderfarm and I would love to give you one of the old number crunchers for Christmas - but shipping from Germany would cost you way more (they are pretty heavy) than buying a brand new shiny netbook.

I would like a nice canon mount lens for shooting video indoors with stability. Our first child will be born in March, and my parents live in NC. I'd love to be able to shoot some things to send to them.

Mr. Postman - ah, shuck, McSteamy, that's so nice. Yeah, weight is an issue overseas, here we have priority flat rate boxes in three sizes, doesn't matter how much it weighs, if you can fit it in the box, it's the same rate. I shipped 70 cds for only $12 across country. Postmaster told me I saved $50 even in media rate shipping. Can't beat that.

Well, you could always send me a photo to see what I was missing - lol.

Come now... don't get greedy...

ha... I wish... I live month-to-month... hence the million dollars :) But, I'd settle for health insurance for the whole family (I haven't had health insurance in over a decade).

If I could have back all the money I've spent on health insurance over the last decade I could probably afford to give you a million dollars.

Frank - is that a time machine????

TimJinx - piss poor health care is what got me in my current situation. We're kinfolk.

OMG, I might just get my Christmas wish after all. A dvxuser member pm'ed and got his old puter to live again and asked for my home addy. Oh Tiny Tim, could this be real??? I'll keep you guys posted! Imagine, a computer that doesn't blue screen or turn off right in the middle of an article then won't turn back on again. A real working puter!!

I feel like singing something. Where's Pookie and that perfect YouTube video for this moment?

Actually it´s only the flux compensator, that you need to create that shift in space-time continuum.
But I can supply you with the rest of the parts that you will need to build a proper time machine.
My only problem in the moment is Unobtainium - or the lack of it.
Since the breakdown of the the USSR it´s getting kind of hard to get decent quality and quantities.
Maybe we can find something else that works.

Shipping to Basque would be in the neighborhood of 100.000 Euro.
(Sorry Unobtainium is expensive, plus I got some mouthes to feed and need a new car).

But I would throw in that little Christmas tree if that is any help.
