Cheap Prime Lenses

I bought an extension tube. But the problem I found with it is that you have to move your camera to focus and I don't like that. I want to be able to use the focus ring. That's why I'm looking into Nikkor 55 f2.8 ais or 105 f2.8 ais. Both of those lens are macro.

That's always the case with extreme macro photography, the relation between the object, the lens and focal plane.

With a standard macro lens you may also have to adjust the camera's position when at the maximum to decide which part of your subject you want in focus because of the minimal DOF. What the macro tube allows you to do is get closer with either a standard lens or macro lens. If you already have the macro tube, try putting it behind your Nikkor macro lens and you will be able to get much closer.
