General Cheap external monitor solution

I spotted this on amazon.

Basically it's a battery powered TV with a standard Red, white, yellow A/V input. Is there any reason why this wouldn't work as an external monitor? Has anyone bought similar products?

Basically I just want something that I can use to gauge framing while my 7D is on a jib.

Been wondering about the lilliput - which models are people using?

How are you powering them? Standard 12v 'wall wart" input from a battery pack?

How are people mounting them? Any of them come with - at least - a threaded hole or something?

Any models most recommended? I'd like to get something around 10" with better color & image than what I'm using now.
