Cheap 10" HDMI LCD

What's the point of LCD for gh13 when there's no live hdmi out?

Vitaliy, any progress on live hdmi out, is there any chance this could happen even with Standard Definition quality rather than HD out?

To make it happen this thing can be useful stimulus. :-)
As for output during recording, it requires that we'll be able to patch parts on the fly using SD card. Until this process becomes bulletproof it have no chance as all I'll get is bricked body due to very low level system things that must be patched.

As fo resolution, seems to be 848x480 or similar.

I would want to know about the viewing angles before thinking about another LCD preview monitor. It might look good exactly straight on, but fall apart if you are off by even a few inches up, down or sideways.

Detail does not seem to be an issue for me but the viewing angles seem to be quite limited for LCDs in general.

Does it have a battery? One of the photos shows a charge LED indicator.

I suggest to ask seller.
It can have a battery.
But for shots then you'll need this thing you probably will have tripod, mattebox, lighting, so 12v battery won't be so bad also :-)

Some additional details.

This thing support most HD resolutions, have 800x600 (by seller specific, I think kind of 800x480) resolution and build-in battery.

We'll see how it perform as soon as it arrives.

Also found on engadget the following cuddly monster.

Unfortunately, it does not have an HDMI in port, just USB for 1,024 x 600 image and power. Is display connectivity over USB standard or some proprietary protocol requiring appropriate drivers on PC? If the former does such a thing as USB to HDMI converter exist?

Too many questions perhaps, but here is an offer of some mind candy -- imagine using a certain new G2 feature on a 10 inch touch screen. Perhaps some of those firmware functions could be backported to GH13 even ;)

Vitaliy, please review if you get this. Looks decent for the price. The screen is probably the same as in net books so fairly high res for the size, more than adequate for focus. Probably can't calibrate for colour, but what do you want for that price. Odd place for a tripod screw, but I guess you put on a tilt or ball head and tilt down.
