Casino Royale

Think I'll skip it myself. Bond is....
Sean Connery
Pierce Brosnan
Roger Moore

I noticed you left out a certain someone by the name of Timothy Dalton. Can't blame you. He always came off like a thug that tried too hard to be smooth. My favorite is Brosnan but I was a huge fan of Moore back in the day. I was too young too catch any of Connery's stuff and although I like him as Bond I was all about Moore.

I'll say this, I always thought "The Living Daylights" was a great name for a movie. You know what, I'm going to rewatch some of Dalton's stuff. I can't remember if he was a bad Bond or if just hate on him because I feel Brosnan should've gotten in there earlier. I know this isn't his Dalton's fault but we all knew he was only there because NBC was a bunch of jerkholes and wouldn't let Brosnan out of his contract. I think the two scripts Dalton got was grade "A" Bond material Brosnan lost out on.

This Daniel Craig guy makes me want to see this film. He seems like a rougher edge early Bond. I want to see a film about how a back alley agent became the 007 we all know and love and in that trailer he's kicking butt, back to basics knock down drag out style. That's something I haven't seen in a Bond film in a long while.

The main problem with recent Bond films is not the appearance of Bond, but the resticting new rules that have been applied to the character and made it look like a caricature of the original. I mean all that feministic B.S. that became the biggest cliche' in modern cinema(with all do respect to women)... Bond should be an exclusion...
P.S.Crieg is gonna make a good Bond
Are you kidding? I love that. The idea that Bond is still Bond while the world changes around him and even while the world changes even modern women can't resist his charms. Why, because he's Bond. My question is when is the production company going to get smart and whore that godaweful cartoon series (James Bond Jr.) into a bunch of PG-13 kiddie films?

"....While he resques the girl. James Bond Jr. Chases scum --- around the world!"
-Theme song excert from James Bond Jr.

(Yea, I used to watch it. Wanna make something of it :) ).

Dalton is the only bad ass Bond we've had. Connery was cool; but he wasn;t fierce. Dalton brought a fierceness. Many critics think that Dalton is the closest to Ian Fleming's vision of Bond than any of the others.

I think Bond should still smoke, still drink and still get plenty of dames; he's effin Bond. That's the idea.

I hope they take it serious. It has turned into comic book.

The trailer has a hard edge to it. Me likey. Core Fans want JB to be a hardass but we'll see if they want to risk the 300+ million box office.

I've been waiting for a good Bond film for years. The trailer does me right. I have high hopes for this one.
It would be soooooooooooooooo nice for the film to match the hype.

just got back from seeing the film. loved every minute of it. Craig is awesome as Bond.

1) Sean Connery
2) Daniel Craig
3) Who cares?

The best Bond flick in a while. The brutality of Bond this time around was awesome. Craig has a real Bond "build" to him. Muscular and such. That's how Bond should be... not like Brosnan. Eva Green was great to look at, and acted very well. Can't wait to see the next 2 that Craig does.

No suckage. the acting was great. the story was great, directing, editing, cinematography were great. i still can't get over how good Craig was. on my top 10 Bond films of all time.

I'd have to agree with you. I am ashamed I had no faith in D. Craig before I saw this. He blew me away.

I might have liked to more if I go there early enough so I didn't have to sit in the front of the theatre. god that sucks, why do they even have seats that close to the screen.

On a more ironic note, the last movie I saw in the theatre where I had to sit that close to the screen was none other than "The Wold is not Enough" I kinda laughed at that.

This movie was great, loved it! Better than all the Pierce Brosnan ones. He's much more serious and gives off a good "don't f*ck with me" vibe. Oh, and the chair torture sequence was hard to watch as a guy...

OMFG

second Brandon's conclusion

BEST

BOND

EVER

This is the only Bond movie that ever really blew me away. Great stuff. Wish there were more in the canon like it.

Particularly liked that this time Daniel Craig/Bond does the walk-out-of-the-ocean shot, pioneered by Ursula Andress and perfected by Halle Berry.

Something for the ladies; my wife was most pleased...

What is wrong with you people, who gives a **** what color his hair is as long as he puts on a damn good show. I saw Casino Royale last night and ive been a hardcore bond fan since i was 6 when i first saw Dr. Who. Honestly its a tossup for me as to who is my favorite bond ever, Connery or Craig. He is one hell of an actor and he IS Bond, James Bond.

Um...

...I think you might mean Dr. No.

Although I guess Dr. Who could also turn one on to Bond. I'm just not sure how.

I always thought Pierce Brosnan came closest to Fleming's descriptions of Bond in the novels, but that's neither here nor there if we're talking about the movies.

I loved the movie, and I loved Daniel Craig in it.

My favourite movie was GoldenEye and I'm not sure if this one is better but it's different, more Bourne Supremacy than Bond, it's hard to really compare them in some respects.

One thing I thought would've been funny as hell is if when he puts on the tux and looks in the mirror if he'd done a satire of himself by saying "Bond, James Bond" just like we all do when we put on that dinner suit and stand infront of the mirror, would've been a classic Bond moment in my book.

I don't feel the film had enough Bond moments in some respects, but the pace and the down-to-earth feel to it was leagues ahead of that last piece of trash - Die another day - that was utter garbage.

Except for Halle Berry in the bikini. Not that that saved the rest of it, or anything, but, well, you know - Halle Berry.

A home run! This is exactly what I was hoping for -- a hardcore spy story without gimmicks.

I never doubted Craig and I never gave a rat's patootie what color his hair was.
