Casino Royale

As soon as I saw LAYER CAKE I was sold on Craig as the new Bond. He brings a menace to the character that has been previously lacking.

Paging Mr. Herman. Paging Mr. Herman.

:)

Classic, PK. Classic.

Pee-Wee Herman as Bond would be hysterical.

The secret word is ESPIONAGE! YAAAAAAAAYYYYY!!!

I'll wait until the movie comes out. Seen every bond film, most more than once. Hasn't been a bad Bond flick yet. Suggested more interesting topic: Best Bond Film (or top couple)
I'd have to go with Thunderball, Live and Let Die, and For Your Eyes Only (in that order).

Looks more like a political thriller set in south africa, more than it looks like bond.
If that's the case it would make the franchise seriously better.

Agreed.

What we need is a serious, dark, Bond film.... Not the recent cartoony, over-the-top, ones.

And this looks like it.... Finally.

The Casino Royal trailer was the first time I was ever really excited about a bond movie.

It's sorta like going from Batman Forever to Batman Begins. New trend I guess.

OK,... Then I vote Pee Wee Herman to play Bond.
True but when you do have to make a change, typically you want to change for the better.
Maybe they might. I won't spend a dime of my money to see it. I might watch it if someone gets the dvd or somthing. Just because it's Bond does not make it good. Timothy Dalton proved that.

Come on.

-

Dalton was a great Bond. He was the one who brought a fierceness to the role. A lot fo fan's and critic's say that Dalton's Bond was the closest to the character in the book's. He's probably the most talented Bond we've seen as far as acting chops goes.

In fact, I think all of them were great. Each one brought their own take to the role.

I'd love to helm a Bond film.

I think Clive owen is the boringest actor in the industry right now. He's boring to watch. which is why I don't know how all of you can stand behind him as wanting him for the new bond. The only thing I've ever liked Owen in was in the BMW films. I felt he dragged down Sin City ALOT.

Anyway you might win. I fully except Craig to do about 3 or 4 bond films and than they'll pick owen.

You guys are going old school on us; but I find Dalton to be a finer actor than Connery. I love Connery, don't get me wrong but Tim is a true thespian.

Besides; look at that ass

As I have said in prior Bond threads...
Not only is Craig insultingly miscast, I don't think Owen woulda been much of an improvement (though, granted, somewhat better)

No, friends...
I stick by my choice for the only man who could follow in Connery's footsteps...

In fact, Jackman is quite similar to Connery in style & body type/stature.

Dammit, John!!!! I can barely read your responses. My eyes are drawn to your banner and I can't seem to pull away! :furious3:

Amen! While I'm not a Bond fan by any means (I've seen some of the movies, and enjoyed them, but I don't go out of my way for them) that still shot actually makes Bond look like a BELIEVABLE character! (Of course, one still shot can hardly represent an entire moving picture...)
