Hey,

Just finished my first music video with my new ISCORAMA 50mm f2.8. We shot the entire video with this lens and my +.4, +1, +2, +4 diopters.

It's a little cumbersome to shoot with diopters for normal distances but I figured out a system pretty quickly. The +.4 is the most useful in my opinion.

The location was really cool and we got to shoot some film... as in shooting a 8mm film projector

I'll post the full video when it's out.

Cheers,

Matt

Man...that Iscorama is just NASTY. It's so hard NOT to love that lens....It's actually very cruel. People who don't have one think they must...and once you do, you keep thinking about all the cool stuff that you could buy if you sold it....and as soon as you do (sell it)....weeping, wailing, gnashing of teeth....not a pretty sight. Unlike some of those shots. SNAP! There's some good looking stuff in that little clip. If I may...what camera?

ps...thanks for posting!

most likely his 7d

Looks good as usual Matt. A bit grainy in the first part though. High ISO? u added grain?

I;d luv to own an anamorphic lens...sadly thats out of my price range. Goodstuff

edit: is there a blog on this setup? I always read your blogs

Hey. This is roy. I directed this
Video. There is grain, but it was not added. We shot at a high iso. The approach to this was for the 7d to mimic what you'd get with 16mm film. I definitely wanted to avoid any of the perfectly clean ultra saturated look that u usually see with hd.

thanks for the repsonse Roy. looks really good. I 2 am staying from the saturated look of late. just looks better to me...or maybe i'm tired of seeing everything vivid and crushed.
