GH2 Cant revert back to firmware 1.1

I know this has been asked here before but it was a while ago and I cant find the thread. After running ptool 3.64, I'm trying to revert back to stock 1.1, but when I go to do the firmware update and hit play on the camera, it just says no valid picture. If anyone can help quickly it would be awesome as I need to ship the camera out today. Thanks.

I just had the same problem but another user on the Personal View site posted an easy fix which is to use PTools to create a new copy of the stock 1.1 firmware. To do this make sure there are no .ini files in the folder with PTools.exe ( I renamed mine with the extension Xini ). Run PTools, load the stock 1.1 firmware, there should be no hack options highlighted at the bottom of the screen. Save the new firmware as normal.

load the stock firmware file into ptools

check "version increment"

save the firmware file, MAKING SURE that the actual filename of the new bin file you will be putting on the sd card is a higher number than whatever is currently on the camera, so like, GH2__V15.bin to be safe

Thank you for reminding me why I am not competent to hack my camera -- I would almost certainly screw this up :-)

Thanks guys, I reverted it back with the ptools method, but it still really bothers me that I couldn't just put the original 1.1 firmware on the card and update it.

You knew that this job was dangerous when you took it.

Can you help me? I tried to revert to the original 1.1 firmware following your suggestions but my GH2 says always "No valid picture to play” and no option to load the new firmware.
