The difference between Broadcast and "normal" is that Broadcast has all profi codecs - DVCPRO 50, DVCPRO HD,P2,XDCAM and is better optimised to render final HDV output (if you want such). I have also perfectly well keyed HQ Canopus 16: 9 files in Ultra 2 (Seroius Magic) , so HQ works with other software if you have it on a board.

What do you mean by "have it on board"? Do you mean have it instaledd on your system or do you mean literally have a Canopus hardware Board in your PC?

I mean - to have software Edius Broadcast installed. Canopus hardware is "only" to make everything much faster. For example if You want to have 1920 x 1080 realtime output You shoul have Edius HD hardvare.
