C300: Canon's Surprise firmware feature not mentioned

Canon left out one really awesome note about the update for C300 users that use the wireless control module for it. They increased the live view frame rate to what I would say is about 10-15fps. They also added the push auto-focus feature on on the menu. I can almost use this now as a wireless follow focus with live view all in one!

I really wish Canon would take this to the next level and provide a much sleeker app with no latency live view and sliders for focusing. I would pay over $1000 if they could give me that!

I'd be happy if canon were more communicative about when we could expect a working firmware update. The one that they released and pulled was announced at nab last April , took 7 months to get out the door, and was flawed when it was released . Now we're in the dark about when they will correct the problem with the latest firmware. I like the app that controls the camera Fromm the iPad and do make good use of it I hope canon does release the new firmware again Soon.

The latest firmware was announced in September, not back in April or during NAB.
