Canon user thread - post your pictures here

Thanks a lot Timur. I think I want to go back in fall and shoot some stock footage stuff - I shot a bit of footage here if you want to take a look:

Its just what I needed to get myself out of the creative rut I had found myself in. What a city!

Those city shots are delicious. I've never been to NYC.

As a young'un, I can relate to #1, but I'm especially enamored by image #5 because I like things in silhouette.

The sunset (x2) and the waterfall are incredible, but that nighttime shot by the lake is breathtaking.

Really good work,

Thanks for the comments!

That night shot in particular, there was a storm off of Lake Superior. I didn't see many actual strikes, but the clouds were lighting up really well. I took about 8 or 9 :30-:60 exposures, got lucky with this one. I used an intervalometer.

Some more photos with a new model - not the biggest fan of this shoot (location, timing, weather issues kind of killed my vibe). I'll be going out and doing a waterfall shoot with this one soon though, so stay tuned!

EDIT: Ah, they're pretty big...so I'm just going to link to my folder on my server in case you guys are interested in checking it out.

Kristen #9 was cool, #5 I really liked a lot. Bummer about the weather!

Thanks for checking 'em out Mike. I think #5 is my favourite. #9 reminds the girls of Bella from Twilight or something ha. Hopefully next shoot is more fun and I'll switch it up to a more urban landscape (after the waterfall of course)...or maybe something vintage...hmm.

SMC Takumar. The un-Cannon.

Are you using an adapter with an AF confirm chip? I have one and I don't think it's terribly accurate.

Good question. I believe it is, because sometimes when I half depress the shutter, I get a red lock on. The seller just included the adapter, so I'm not entirely sure. I purchased two non-AF confirm adapters to go with my new Vivitar 70-210mm f3.5 and Nikon 50mm f1.8, so when they get here, I'll have a better idea of what's AF confirm and what's not.

I don't think for what its worth that the AF confirm has been greatly accurate with the SMC, however I'm trying to nail focus first even before my finger goes to the shutter.
