Canon user thread - post your pictures here

I live in the mountains but it's right on the edge of the desert. So, we get weather similar to the desert (hot days, cool nights) except we also get some rain in the winter and it's cooler and windier year-round. In Israel, you can experience vastly different weather by simply driving 30 minutes. That's nice in the winter if you happen to live in a cold climate. Those pictures were taken in the desert near Masada, on the road from Arad.

We spent one year in the Arava, the desert region between Be'er Sheva and Eilat. It was really pleasant except between the hours of 10AM and 3PM in the summer. During those hours, being outside feels like being in an oven. But, hey, laundry dries in 40 minutes.

I've seen some good locations for shooting a WestFest entry. Just gotta write...

Snapped a few photos from Berkshire Hathaway's meet, greet, and buy event for shareholders. It's a clandestine sort of event requiring passes.

I'm digging so many of these. I too like the dog shaking off the water pic. As well as Disjecta's lighting. Something simultaneously sharp and soft about those and I love 'em.

Allenat yours are cool simply because I can spot Jesus Christ's face in the clouds. And Jordan S...you get the Gold for best location. I'm not a religious guy, in spite of my Jesus Christ reference, but I've always wanted to check out the Middle East. Even though I'm admittedly ignorant enough about it to be scared of it.

I have some photos that I need to dig up. But, I never seem to take the time to comment unless I am posting my own. Seemed kinda cheesy.

There are things I still need to fix and I wasn't going for a super realistic look in terms of shadow and lighting. Not really looking for critiquing on this one just sharing, thanks!

^ Great job! Nice to see more people putting their best foot forward with what matters most.

I like the lighting. The hot floor with dark top looks great.

Maxim, nice photo. Can I drive it? :D Clios are pocket rockets... If I moved to Europe I would probably get one.
