Canon T3i Stabilization

So I recently purchased the T3i and using ML. Love it. The only lenses I have are the kit (18-55) and the Canon 50mm 1.8.

Only thing that is sometimes irritating is that the camera picks up every single amount of movement when you're handheld (especially with the 50mm). I was just wondering what some of you do for handheld stabilization? Are there any nice lenses out there where the built in IS really works good?

I know there are shoulder rigs, glidecams, etc. I can use, but trying to keep it simple and have as much stabilization within the lens and good handheld practice.

Thank you.

Just buy it & use it, you can thank me later..

haha...I was debating for weeks on which one to get and I actually got a different model...I do use it a lot.

Face it - DSLRs are a terrible form factor for shooting video. Thus the thousands of posts here regarding tripods, stabilizers, shoulder mounts, etc.

Even when you want a handheld look, a DSLR is usually just too much without something, even if it's a fig rig.

A tripod? I'm not sure what you're doing that requires you to be handheld the majority of the time.
