Most professional dealers are offering the C300 below the £10,000 mark excluding VAT. It seems there's much interest for this camera and initial pre orders are strong.

As soon as I found out it was £10K I decided to get it instead of the AF101. Will use it with my XF300 and 7d.

Hopefully pick it up mid Jan.

Very excited.

I hope to trade in my FS100 set up and get 2 Canon C300's as an A and B cam set up. I have L lenses already and plenty of compact flash cards. Nice easy workflow through
adobe Premier Pro, just sounds perfect!

I got mine from http://www.videokit.co.uk/4143-canon-eos-c300.html

Managed to get 1 year 0% finance with nothing to pay in the first year.

Any details or a link to this deal?

So, you're making zero payments in year one... but what about year two? Or is the full amount due at the end of year one?

Seems an interesting deal, but can't find any links (had a look at their site and saw various 0% finance deals).

Thanks :)

I don't think there's anything on the website. I just called them up and one thing led to another. Ask for Andy Davis. Really nice guy and very helpful.

Yep, zero payments in year one. Can put lump sums in during that time. There is a set up charge as well

After the first year, the finance company will charge you 29.8% over 5 years and back date it to teh day your set the finance up, effectively doubling the amount borrowed.

This deal is only really good if you intend to pay it all off before the year ends.

Yup you have to pay up in full before the year is up,DO DO NOT BE LATE BY ONE DAY you will be paying double otherwise.

A great offer if you play the game! e.g. pay in full a week or so before the due late and don't leave things to chance or last minute!

You have been warned :-)

Agreed.

I have a reminder on my phone, computers, diaries and going to have it tattoed on my wrist next week.

INSURANCE, INSURANCE, INSURANCE!!!! If you are setting up a deal like that.... for pete's sake make sure you have the loan pay out, and the gear insured.

I wish l had your exchange rate! here in the UK it's 1.15 euros to £ or one euro is 85 pence = 12000 x .85 = £ !0200.00 or 1.15 x £ 9930.00 (Uk price as indicated at CVP)= € 11419 !

There's is no set price by Canon as yet so still a little up in the air.

Also, I've heard stories about folks sending payments in but them not getting credited until much later. Might not be a bad idea to get delivery confirmation when sending payments under these deals.

I've always insured my cameras ever since one fell off a car at 50mph and onto concrete. Amazingly the camera still worked.

All done online I think, so it's immediate and a record of the transaction recoded for both parties.

Like everyone is saying be careful... my sister purchased a computer on one these... and after paying it off... they sent her a bill for something like $400 for %... claiming the promotion was from the day the promotion began not the day she bought it.... had to fight them to get it tooth and nail... because nothing in the information said anything like this...

Thanks Gary. I made sure I read the small print fully. The final settlement fee is £29.00

Plus I'm an ex lawyer so I try and make sure I know exactly what I'm getting into.
