C100: Canon C100 Mark II Announced 60P, New VF, & New OLED Panel Texas Media Systems

Wow I just discovered in this last video that when you use 35mbps MP4 or 28mbps avchd (which were both on of the new features I was happy about, better bit rate !) are only in 50/60p ? This is odd !

id like to take advantage of those better bitrates while shooting 25p! (99% of the time !)

Your comment made me think of this scene:

Requesting the use of this bit rate in 24/25P all the time is like this scene when Ben Stiller suggests 6 minute abs.

The point of the increased bitrate is to maintain the same 24p/30p quality when shooting at 60p. There's more frames per second at 60p, so you need more data to maintain the quality of the slower frame rates.

I agree. But still, having a better bitrate when shooting 24/25/30p also would have been a nice feature, don't you think ?

Again, I must say that I am very curious about how the color science is that much different between Mark I and mark II :

I have always felt like my MKI was a little warm. I have a shoot coming up that may use both cams. I wonder how much a pain it will be to match the two later... maybe just cool down the MK1 a bit? I do that anyway so it leads me to think MKII is just more accurate. Thanks for the video.

Is that a flash drive molded after an L-series lens?

That's adorable.

But seriously in what world is a 16g flash drive a selling point? My phone comes with more storage than that. Bestbuy has 16g flash drives for eight bucks.

Guessing its something to make it a little closer to turn key. Like the hand strap.

Canon could have done more than that. Also, they have 1,000 (gives you an idea of how many of these units have been sold............not 1,000 yet, as the offer is still ongoing).

Can come in handy, some accessories like the Small HD screens require a 4GB and lower for firmware updates etc. My guess is you're paying for the design rather than the actual storage. Cheap to make cheap to buy, novelty item, stocking filler etc

Who cares about the flash drive? The red stitching on the hand strap is guaranteed to make my shots better. I'm already preparing a reel to submit to Scorsese.
