That's nice, but I feel the C100 should have a charger like the 1Dc, with dual battery capacity. I'm sure that would be appreciated by many.

Hey. Yes, I've talked to them over both email and phone. I first emailed Terry (his email address is in his sig). He answered all of my questions, and then some. Over several emails, always getting back to me within a few hours, even if it was late in the day.

While I was still waiting to hear from B&H, AbelCine, and Adorama. And when I did hear from them (I'm talking about the NY companies here), the one rep that responded didn't know all of the answers (usually about financing), and would then pass my email along to someone else who would take another day to respond. For the record, I've done well over $10,000 in business (total) with B&H and Adorama. And I will again. But they dropped the ball on this one. And even if it weren't for all of that, the service that I've gotten from TMS still would have made me go with them.

So after I filled out the Canon financing application, I got a call from Joe, who is in sales at TMS, and he has been wonderful to work with. Looks like it'll be Monday when mine ships out.

I'll PM you more details on financing.

As far as taxes, the way I understand it when it is leased, is that the tax write off comes off of the payments. But even if you paid in full, today is the first day that they're shipping out, and (in general) things don't actually get charged until they're shipped. So you'd have had to have waited until a year from now, any way.

Right now BH photo is selling a kit C100 M2 with a ninja 2. Kind of a fail on their part. The ninja 2 does not record 60p. They are gonna piss a few people off with that one. Hope they read the specs first.
 
And here is another one from the same guy. Very telling. This is what Canon meant by "larger than expected differences in IQ".


Apart from not showing the moiré, look at how clean the gray color on the walls seems in the mkII footage.
 
Being a C100 M1 owner...I'm really stoked about the new offerings for 2015. Recently I have been toying with the idea of picking up a used 1DC now that the used prices have come down. I think I may hold off though...for one of two cameras.

Im really excited to see a 1DC mark II with wifi and better code and high frame rates. I heard rumors of the modular DSLR. That sounds really interesting.

The other is the obvious C300. Just hoping for face detection with L glass (not just STM lenses) for use with the Helix.
 
Terry...has the C100 MKII been delayed? TMS website indicated shipping for the body only model was January 2, but now it's listed as preorder.
 
I noticed the same thing on B&H's site. All their kit C100MII's show end of January for shipping. The body shows no date. I wonder if the first batch got eaten up already and they're all waiting for stock? I was originally going to try the Canon financing through TMS but I think I'm going full purchase. Hopefully TMS can squeeze me in somehow.
 
I've never seen that much moire in my C100. And of course the C100MK2 should have a better image. They had 2 years to improve on it. C100 MK1 is still a great camera.

Yeah, my purchase should have went through on the 31st, but now won't happen until Monday. :/ I'm not sure if that would've been in time for the Jan. 2nd ship date, any way. Waiting to see if I get these jobs that I've bid for this month. Might have to rent a C100 if so. Hopefully they'll be able to ship more before the end of the month. The kit options do sound pretty good, so if I have to wait, either way, I might go with one of them.

Watch this one at 1:02. There's an artifact for one frame. It's him doing a stand up. But for one frame, it shows the dog in the snow. And there's tearing at the top of the dog frame where it still shows a little of him. So that couldn't be a mistake in editing. It would have to be in camera. Do you all think there could be an issue with the camera? I posted a comment on the video about it. Video and screenshot below.

I agree. I have shot countless hours with my C100 in all types of situations. I have never had a situation where the moire has looked that bad.

That could be a render/encoding/upload issue. Hopefully.
