Canon 8D

After purchasing a 7D (if you decide to get one) you'll soon realize the real investment you're making is in the lenses, not in the camera itself.

I just realized something... I wouldn't hold my breath on some fantastic new video tech from a new 5D or 7D. Here's why:

2) He just bought a $75,000 Red Epic M.
.

uhm well I'd buy and Epic If i could over a dslr. I dont think thats news really. Whatever a new 5d or 7d will come out with will pale in comparison to an epic...as it should. Doesn't make the new 7d/5d any less of a camera for what it is at its price point. Your comparing a $75,000 cinema camera to sub $2500 DSLR...really?!

Thanks for the many replies, guys! Sorry for the late response, I've been away for a while. But thanks to you all I decided to buy the 7D. Too bad here in Holland all the stores are temporarily sold out on the 7D due to the Tsunami.

Anyway, half of the investment is the 7D, the other half is the accessories and gear which I ordered at B&H. I still have many lenses from my 20D, so that shouldn't be a problem :)
Let's see what this puppy can do! (when it finally arrives that is).

Hi friends,

I'm about to go and purchase a Canon 7D for film purpose. But I'm kind of late to the game and fearing that the 8D will be announced one day after I purchased the 7D.

Do you think it's a good bet to order the 7D now, or should I wait for the follow up camera?

Thanks

lol
