I have been having trouble with my two 7Ds matching....
I have all settings, lenses, fstop, shutter, iso and color preference set the same but as you can see on is completely de-saturated and lacks sharpness...
anyone else getting issues like this with canon dslr in video mode?

That's strange, the image on the right looks perfect, while the image on the left looks awful. It looks like superflat, a lower aperture, and all that. If you truly have the same settings going on, it seems as though one camera is defective, and if that camera is defective, I can bet many are, as so many users seem to get the result on the left despite not wanting to.

But I wouldn't say it's defective. I think has to do with the picture style somehow. Are you sure that you're using the same settings beyond what the name of the picture style is? If I remember right, I did a test once where I dialed in the same custom settings on both standard and portrait, yet the result wasn't the same. I think it's possible that different picture styles have different native points, like it may be that 0 isn't the same level on standard as it is portrait, not sure.

But hm, strange stuff, but overall it seems like it's just something to do with picture style. But it even seems like the depth of field is more restricting on the left shot...

If all of the settings on the cameras are exactly the same, I'd examine the possibility of differences between the lenses.

Okay I figured out the problem I think. Just did a test, and what I did was I adjusted two picture styles, portrait and neutral, to the same settings manually in camera (I set both of them to 0 sharpness, 4 contrast, -2 saturation, and 0 color tone), and the result was that the two picture styles were still drastically different, as though the numerals for each were not the same. I'm betting that this is your problem - you probably uploaded a picture style to one camera, then just looked at it and manually adjusted it on the other (either using the User Slot or just using one of Canon's slots) and thought it'd come out the same on both cameras. Strangely, it doesn't. So if you're uploading any picture styles straight from the maker, I'd say you definatly need to upload them to both cameras and make sure to use the User Defined slots. Or if you're playing around with the slots on the camera, make sure that you don't use Standard on one camera and Portrait on the other, even if you've set each to the same numerals, it won't look the same for some very strange reason.

This has been effecting my shots for the longest of time as well, just to throw that out there!

And if this isn't the issue, I'd say the camera on the left has some sort of picture style defect, Canon could probably fix it, looks simple enough. But I think what this comparison shows even to all users here how important it is that your picture style looks realistic. The image on the left is what the SuperFlat profile tends to generate, the picture style on the right looks very cinematic and realistic, personally, I'd like to know which picture style the right shot is using myself!
