canon 5d issue

alright so i have a canon 5d but i use it for video but every time i export it only play in widescreen and it just plays really small or else it will get pixlated what can i do to make it not shoot in that widescreen mode
 
I'm not exactly sure what you're asking. If you're exporting from an editor you may need to change your export settings. If you're talking about playing the camera on a TV or monitor plugged in through HDMI or composite, it is just playing back in SD which is smaller and has more cropping around the playback. The native format is a 1.78 16x9 aspect ratio, if that's what you mean by widescreen? The camera also has low res index files for the in camera menu, you may be pulling these off instead of the video. I'm sorry, but you're question is very vague in regards to the issues you're having with the camera.

What exactly are you using the camera for/what is the desired end result of your video?

Also, what editing software are you using to edit the footage?

What do you mean by export?

Too much information, if you can pare your question down a little people would have a chance at answering it (and whatever you do don't include screen shots or any other extraneous information that will only confuse people).
