Candle light look, wb? or gels? how?

Why not do it Kubrick styles and use a fast lens and light with actual candles?

You'd need two things:
1) Expensive & Very fast lens (read about it here!)
2) Enough candles to light properly, which can gives more trouble than anything else.

I'd suggest that, depending on the scene's complexity:

Cheap, but it could mimic the candles lighting nicely. In addition to the candles on set I mean.
