point made.....you're entitled to your opinion....
the thing is, new film makers don't have the life experience to accurately represent life. Do you remember where the old film makers came from? The Humphrey Bogarts both on the stage and behind the cameras? People, directors, craftspeople, actors who came to the business with life experience on the streets. and they made movies and films of moral and ethical value. Not this unrealistic violence displayed on modern film. And all that does is create an unrealistic picture of reality to young film-goers.
No, times have changed.....maybe one good thing to come out of all this atrocious happenings in the Middle east will produce a slew of filmakers with real life experience...the horror of war...not the fantasy of a video game. The trauma and tragedy of losing an arm or a leg, or two legs, or a father for political reasons...that's the bulls*&$%t!
Where are the Edward R Murrows who experienced the tragedy and reported it?
