C500: C500 Raw to prores

Some people only shoot HFR so it really depends...it's a must for sports, music videos and other creative projects.

Many clients love it for pretty much anything no matter how played out it is.

If all you're doing is shooting talking heads and that's absolutely it then it's different.

That's true and don't forget wildlife and nature (e.g., birds flying in slow-motion).

I was just making a point that for most shooters it's more of a specialty mode than a normal shooting mode. It's just nice to have the option when you need it.

With two Samsung 850 EVO 1TB drives (each of which costs $330), you can get a continuous 46 minutes of RAW 4K 60P or 4K HRAW 120P on the Odyssey. It's more than enough for most applications and it compares very favorably to the price of shooting RAW 4K/5K HFR on RED DSMC2 minimags, which use a significant level of Redcode compression.
