C300: C300mk2 2k 12bit in Auckland, New Zealand

In 2019 I travelled with Auckland with a small crew of people to film a show about where ingredients come from. We chose the c300mk2 for both ease of use, price and 12 bit video. We chose to go with the higher bit depth in 2k, vs the 10bit 4k. In the end, we exported everything to 4k for upload and so far, nobody has been the wiser.

This post isn’t getting enough attention IMO. I’ve actually been considering picking up a used C300 II exactly for the 12 bit 2k file as well. Super underrated feature and we still deliver everything in hd for clients anyway.

Beautiful work, I'm curious, what lenses did you work with on this?

Because it was very poor 4K from a sensor and/or clogged pipeline that wasn't able to provide much of a visible difference.

Gorgeous look tho, one of my favorite Canon looks.

Ya the 12 bit 2k, is fantastic. Still such a beast of a camera.
